Jacqui Barker

My evolution as an interior designer started with a career in publishing, where I worked around the globe doing the styling and set design for such fashion magazines as Elle, Vogue, and Esquire to name but a few.

Inspired by my travels, my love of colour and art, I developed a passion for design. The skills I mastered over nearly two decades setting the stage for beautiful photographs were well suited to interiors, and it started surreptitiously with my own home being featured in LivingEtc, leading to my first client, restauranteur Oliver Peyton. I worked for him for four years creating the eclectic style and look of his restaurants and cafes around London including The National Gallery, The Royal Academy, Kew Gardens and The Wallace collections.

Word got around and soon I was hired to design a seven bedroom house in Sunningdale which led to further projects in Notting Hill and the launch of my company Jacqui Barker Design.

My style is clean and contemporary with pops of colour from art and curtains, a curation of furniture that mixes texture and pattern to create a unique vibe for each project. Clients love my energy and ability to bring together the right look on time and on budget.
